April 14th, 2010FamilyBirthdays are a big deal to me. Really, one day a year where everyone you care about celebrates your existence! Sign me up, lol. I’ve had a few birthdays, 24 to be exact, but today, though not my birthday, was very special because I got to take photos of a very precious little girl on her 6th birthday. I feel six is an important one and I’m sure Elise does too. My gift for her (and her parents) was just a few photos of a beautiful girl on her one and only 6th birthday! It’s a little past midnight in our time zone but I know she has people in Michigan who wished they could have been there so I’m going to still count this as being posted on her birthday. Happy birthday Elise, I’m so glad I could come to your party!

As if one little blue eyed blonde haired beauty isn’t enough, there’s another!
trust me, I know it’s out of control how pretty they are! I’m sure their dad is pretty aware and is already preparing to fend off the boys!
A shot of the whole family!
Thanks for letting me “crash” the party guys! And Erin, I agree, the frosting was AMAZING. -
October 14th, 2009LifeOctober 14th is a nice round number. It’s always been special because it’s two days after columbus day. It’s also been special because it’s my little brother’s birthday. I found out that he has a birthday twin, which is a very fun thing if you ask me, and her name is Jenny. She also happens to be my intern and you all haven’t heard much about her so I thought I’d take time on 10/14 to tell you a little about both of them!
My brother is 14 months younger than I am. In my head I think he’s at least two years but it seems crazy to me that he’s 23 today. He’s been my partner in crime / mortal enemy for over two decades and has the power to charm me even when I’m at my angriest.
Yes, we were both much chunkier then.
It’s been a pretty wild and fun ride. He’s the kind of guy who risks getting arrested on your wedding day to keep one of the bridesmaid from getting a silly parking ticket. He’s one of the best navigators I know and he loves his family more than we deserve.
Happy birthday to you Christopher Andrew. I love you!
Part 2
I’m sure you’ve caught my illusions to a wonderful, talented assistant. Her name is Jenny and she’s the eye behind Paper Napkin Photo. It’s been such a wonderful experience working with her and I’m so proud of how far she’s come during our time together! She doesn’t sleep enough and has this crazy thing for measuring wounds with clipboards but I think I’ll keep her around. Thank you Jenny for all your hard work this summer and fall, I don’t think I would have made it through a few of these things without you!!
Here is Jenny, we haven’t taken any head shots yet but here are some photos of her in action!
Happy birthday to you Ms. Jenny!!
I’d show you how I can balance a birthday cake on my head but I have a feeling that would be dangerous.

August 11th, 2009LifeIt’s been about a week since I posted last, which for the summer, has been a little unusual. I wanted to let you know that I’m still alive! I’m working on finalizing some information about the ::ping:: forum I posted about a little while ago so that we can see who’ll be able to come! I’ve taken about a week off from photography to celebrate my sister’s 19th birthday and my 24th. Hopefully we’ll have photos of this to share of this soon.
Josh and I are in the middle of buying our first home and the idea of moving again is a little overwhelming but it’s also exciting to paint things and arrange things and have excuses to print new pictures and buy new frames.
I am also going to be teaching four classes at Liberty University. I can’t wait to meet my students and look forward to leading and learning from them.
Well, time to get back to my day job. Enjoy this photo of me at my birthday dinner! It’s a good thing I love whipped cream!

You’d think that with all the posts I’ve made which have included Lydia that I would be related. I’m not, but the Parks have a way of bringing you in to their family and making you feel like you belong! I was so happy to be able to enjoy Lydia’s birthday! Here are some of the pictures!
This is evidence of how celebrated Lydia is!
Can’t accuse her of not sharing!
She had a lot of friends there including Abby!
The beautiful Parks, with one on the way!
Four generations in one photo.
Happy late birthday Lydia, and many more to grow on!
