S. Carter Studios officially began in May of 2006 in Lynchburg, VA. What started as a favor to a friend has turned into one of the most fulfilling careers I could have ever imagined. I have been taking pictures since I got my first camera from my grandparents in the 8th grade. I probably owe my parents thousands of dollars in film developing costs. What was then an interest in preserving the memories created with friends has developed into a passion for documenting the beautiful capacity to love and be loved that God has given to us.
